This delicious and versatile dessert is made with crisp layered pastry, crusted with caramelised sugar and tossed in a cinnamon coating mixture. The dough is sprinkled with sugar on top and the bottom before it’s pressed into the dough. In addition to the original Kouign Amann, the cinnamon variation makes it the perfect treat when served with a cup tea or coffee.
All of our laminated sweet pastry doughs are handmade using traditional French techniques. Leavened using the steam generated by the moisture in the butter, the laminating process is critical to the quality of all of our pastries.
